The Antiochos Statue Dismantled

The temporary snow barrier is crippled by tons of snow and ice. The barrier served its purpose of protecting the stelae on the West Terrace and is removed.

Working-Session in Amsterdam

At a working session in Amsterdam with international experts, organized by the International Nemrud Foundation, the campaign for 2003 was discussed. There were specific consultations about restoration and conservation methods with Prof.Dr. Orhan Bingöl of the University of Ankara, Prof.Dr. Predrag Gavrilovic of University of Skopje, and conservation specialists Paolo Pagnin and Christoph Kronenwirth, as well as with Prof. Eric Moormann of the University of Nijmegen, Jaap Groot P.Eng., architect Maurice Crijns, Dr.Miguel-John Versluys and Prof. Herman Brijder of the Archaeological Centre of the University of Amsterdam.
